About Design
“Designers should start from understanding needs, refine their work like craftsmen, and hope that one day it may be regarded as art. This order should not and cannot be reversed.” Artists are pioneers who explore the possibilities of expression through various forms; designers, by contrast, are preservers who must focus on achieving goals and use the most effective means to communicate messages and solve problems. At the core of design lies deep thinking rather than technical execution. Every good design comes from long periods of reflection and deliberation, and research, field investigation, and hands-on experience are also indispensable.
About Education
Education is a fascinating field. It not only explores how to teach and how to learn, but also examines how information is processed and transformed, and when and where learning takes place. Everyone absorbs and constructs knowledge in their own way, which makes education even more challenging. By reflecting on problems from different perspectives, we can discover more possibilities. Truly meaningful learning takes place through active interaction; through observation, experience, and practice, we can make learning go beyond the classroom and become a proactive attitude toward life.
About Research
“What is the value of this?” This question once made me resist it, as if my efforts were being denied. But later I realized that this phrase is actually an opportunity to pause and reexamine whether what we do can truly be valuable enough. The purpose of research is not only to seek answers, but also to discover the latent possibilities of things through observation, experimentation, and reflection. Whether in academia or practice, continuous learning and understanding the latest trends are important ways to realize the value of research.
About Interdisciplinary Co-creation
The essence of interdisciplinary collaboration lies in integrating different professional perspectives and turning differences into opportunities for innovation. This is not merely collaboration, but a deep mutual understanding and respect. In teamwork, only by truly thinking from others’ perspectives can we design solutions that enable everyone to grow positively. How to communicate effectively with partners from different backgrounds, and how to jointly achieve outcomes that surpass individual capabilities—these are challenges that cannot be overlooked in design. The ultimate goal of design and collaboration is to create solutions that respond to complex problems while enhancing the experiences and value of those involved.
